PRACTICE #1
When: September 14, 2025
Where: Boston, MA

General Practice Summary
The fall season has OFFICIALLY begun!

What a perfect day to be back on the fields with REVlax Nation!  Boston showed off its perfect September weather, and you all matched it with incredible energy.

This was a team practice, which brings together the whole club in one location. It is such a special opportunity to come together to grow and connect.  Families came from FIVE states – and we are so grateful to our community for making it happen!

It was special to see so many returners, who jumped back in like no time had passed in August!  And talk about EXCITEMENT to see all of our new families in one place. We are so excited about the families who have joined our community for REV23 – talk about talent, personality and energy!  Some have transitioned from other programs to experience the magic of REVlax, while others are new to the club scene -  and we cannot wait to see them shine!

The practice plan was packed with live-play action as we worked through final roster evaluations for the fall season.  Players brought intensity, teamwork, and focus—everything we love to see on the field. The best part? Everyone left having met someone new.

We also had a great time connecting with our 2028–2037 families during their Fall Kickoff meetings.  Thank you to all the families for fitting the meeting into your schedule!

These sessions were a special opportunity for players and parents to hear directly from our staff about the season ahead—our goals, expectations, and vision for the program. Your enthusiasm, engagement, and commitment truly set the tone for what’s shaping up to be an incredible year with REV Nation.

Here’s to a fantastic start to the 23rd year of REVlax—let’s make this year our best yet!

Meeting Recap
Our REVlax kickoff meeting was AWESOME.  It’s always such a wonderful gift to be able to connect in person with our parents.  The REVdevo meeting was led by no other than Director, Haley McCusker!

Haley is a true powerhouse — full of knowledge, energy, and a passion for developing the future stars of REVlax Nation!

During the meeting, Haley shared her story!   She shared how her background built her into the strong, confident role modle she is today – and explained how she found REVlax!

She emphasized key points that are INTERGRAL to the REVlax experience, and the success of each family. Below are her main points!

  1. The importance of communication. We have the largest full time staff in New England – use us!
  2. Putting in work outside of practice and normalizing consistency at home with wallball and other skills!
  3. Our emphasis on coaching!  REVlax is all about helping players be their best. Players are going to get coached A LOT!  That’s what it is all about!

A huge thank you to our families for your support — it truly makes all the difference. We appreciate you taking time out of your Sunday to be part of this special meeting. You’re amazing!

Practice Recap
WELCOME BACK!  We were back on the fields for the first time since summer tournaments, and they did not disappoint!  From the moment players arrived, the energy was electric — smiles, laughs, and hugs all around as teammates reconnected.  It is SO special to see the bonds that make REVlax so special – lifelong friends!

It was clear that everyone returned not just eager to play, but with purpose, showcasing the hard work over the summer break.

Our first session focused on getting back into the fast pace of the game while sharpening fundamental skills. Players battled through 3v3s, emphasizing spacing, ball movement, and reading the defense. Coaches were impressed by how quickly players re-engaged with the concepts, communicating effectively and making smart decisions under pressure.

From there, we transitioned into east/west play, pushing full-speed transitions while working on attacking open lanes, staying marked up in defense, and maintaining intensity on every possession. The energy wasn’t just on the field — players were vocal on the sidelines, supporting teammates and celebrating great plays, which is exactly the culture that REVdevo fosters.

It was a fantastic first practice back!  The focus, effort, and excitement we saw today are exactly what will set the tone for a strong fall. Players are not just building skills — they’re building teamwork, awareness, and confidence that will carry into every game this season.

We can’t wait to see how each group continues to grow — both individually and collectively — as the weeks go on. Let’s keep this energy rolling!

PRACTICE #2
When: September 21, 2025
Where: Providence, RI

General Practice Summary
It was another perfect September day for our second Team Practice of the fall!  The weather and vibes were immaculate!

REVlax rotates team practices between our two largest hubs, Boston and Providence, giving players exposure to different environments and allowing all families the opportunity to engage with the program.  As always, we so appreciate everyone’s effort to get to every practice site!

Practice #2 was held at the 9x RI State Championship Field — Moses Brown!  Moses Brown has a long history of top-tier lacrosse players, many of whom have been REVlax alumna, and it’s always incredible to feel that energy of excellence on the field. It sets the tone for our players and inspires them to push themselves to be their best.

The REVdevo practice was packed with energy, while our high school teams came in focused and ready to elevate their game in preparation for the fall season.

Team practices are integral to every group’s cohesion and chemistry, and this week was no exception. With team rosters finalized, players were able to start connecting directly with the teammates they will play with for fall tournaments. At REVlax, consistency and cohesion are the foundation of success, and every team practice fuels this intention.

Even from the first week to the second, the progress for each group was palpable. It was so cool to see each team really work on their connections on the field, resulting in some really impressive standout moments throughout the day!

The energy, teamwork, and focus on the field are exactly what make REVlax so special, and we will never forget this gorgeous afternoon in Rhode Island!

Practice Recap
Week Two!!!! A beautiful afternoon at Moses Brown set the stage for another strong and high-energy practice. Even while juggling fall sports, attendance and engagement were top-notch, and the commitment from every player was evident. Building on the form, fundamentals, and mechanics from last week, the 2031s–2037s continued to advance their lacrosse IQ, particularly in man-up and man-down situations, while bringing motion offense to life in competitive 7v7 play.

The 2031s–2033s had the opportunity to work closely with several full-time staffers, including REVdevo Director Haley McCusker, benefiting from her expertise and guidance throughout the session. These groups spent time working through 4v3 scenarios, focusing on quick ball movement, staying disciplined in their outside hands, and maintaining constant communication.

The 2033s in particular worked on the foundation for full-field play, learning where to be in transition and how to properly execute responsibilities within motion offense and defense. They practiced purposeful cuts, reading ball-side and back-side responsibilities, and creating opportunities through smart spacing and movement — critical skills that will set them up for success in game situations throughout the season.

Meanwhile, the 2034s–2037s had the privilege of working with Sabrina, REVdevo’s full-time Director who launched the REVdevo program over 13 years ago. This group focused on breaking down man-up and man-down scenarios into 2v1 drills off ground balls, emphasizing rapid recognition of game situations, maintaining awareness, and communicating under pressure. They then transitioned into 7v7 play, practicing finding the first pass quickly, moving with purpose, and attacking the goal efficiently — all while applying the lessons of spacing, timing, and decision-making from earlier in the session.

Across all age groups, the growth from Week One to Week Two was noticeable. Players were more connected, moving with intention, and communicating effectively, demonstrating an increased understanding of their roles within both offensive and defensive systems. The combination of high-level coaching, competitive drills, and team cohesion created a productive and dynamic environment, setting a strong foundation for continued progress.

Week Two highlighted the importance of practice in building chemistry, IQ, and confidence, and we are excited to see how each group continues to develop as the season progresses. With the energy, focus, and leadership displayed this week, REVdevo is well on its way to an exceptional fall season!

PRACTICE #3
When: September 28, 2025
Where: Boston, MA

General Practice Summary
Two words to define September so far: IDEAL WEATHER!  REVlax thrives in all conditions, but when it’s 60 degrees and sunny, it’s pure perfection — and today was a gorgeous fall day in Boston to close out our fall team practices.

It’s incredible how quickly the past three weeks have flown by and how much improvement we’ve seen across every group. With the majority of the club attending all three sessions, we’ve witnessed a dramatic increase in team chemistry and cohesion.  On top of that, every individual player has made huge strides — dusting off any cobwebs from the off-season and fully stepping back into REVlax mode. The growth in confidence, skill, and focus has been exciting to watch, and it sets the stage for a strong foundation going into tournament season.  A special shout to all the parents who put time in the car to make it happen – we appreciate you SO much!

For the final team practice of the fall, the REVdevo players brought the electric energy that makes the youth players so special. Players were buzzing with excitement, as they prepared for upcoming fall tournaments and full-field live play. The 2033s had their first full-field game experience, supported by the 2032s, in a competitive 12v12 scrimmage — learning spacing, transition responsibilities, and how to read the field in real time. Meanwhile, the 31–34 teams were sharpening their fundamentals and putting their motion offense and man-up/man-down concepts into action in a fast-paced, game-like setting.

When our High School teams hit the field, the focus and intensity immediately ramped up. Each team executed with precision, communicated effectively, and demonstrated the teamwork that’s been building throughout the fall. They really dialed in to each and every drill, setting the tone for the upcoming tournament season.  As a staff, we are so impressed by the progress, energy, and cohesion we’ve seen from every team over the past three weeks.

As we close out fall practices, we couldn’t be more excited to see all of our teams carry this momentum to the game field. Every player has laid a strong foundation, and now it’s time to take all that energy, skill, and teamwork to the next level — and represent REVlax Nation on the tournament circuit!

Practice Recap
DEVO NATION closed out their fall practice season with energy, focus, and purpose! The field was buzzing as players built on the form and mechanics from last week and ran live game reps with a strong emphasis on settled offense and defense — putting the finishing touches on their fall preparation before tournament season.

The 2031s broke down 1v1s, refining motion offense, defensive positioning, and east/west play, sharpening the fundamentals that will set them up for success. They are really looking like leaders out there and it is so cool to see them step up their game!

Meanwhile, the 2032s and 2033s took to the full field, with our 5th graders preparing to step onto the big field for the first time next week.  They got to work hand in hand with REVlax Founder, Lukas Cash, who has built hundreds of top players over the past two decades– how cool is that?!  These groups focused on transition play, pushing the fast break, creating space, and moving the ball with purpose. And a shout out to the parents who let us keep the players for an extra 15 minutes to maximize time on the field – we appreciate you! 😊

The 2034s–2037s worked on live action drills, emphasizing offensive execution, defensive communication, and understanding where to be on the field — from draw setups to marking up in transition.

Across every age group, the 2031s–2037s embodied the core principles of REV: being supportive teammates, giving 110%, and never quitting. Players were reminded that true growth comes from embracing challenges and stepping outside comfort zones to develop new skills, both individually and as a team.

It was an inspiring way to close out the fall, leaving players confident, prepared, and ready to bring their energy, focus, and skill to a competitive and exciting tournament season ahead. DEVO NATION is building momentum, and we can’t wait to see this group in action!

FALL FEAR
When: October 13, 2025
Where: Devens, MA

Event Recap
The first tournament is IN THE BOOKS for the 2035 team and OMG – we are so excited.

Talk about diving in FULL-FORCE.  The 2035s played three games in the POURING RAIN, never backing down from the cold, muddy conditions.  In reflecting, there was literally only ONE mention of the cold all day, which just goes to show how amazing this group is going to be in the years to come.

All three games brough challenges that are completely normal for a 3rd grad team’s first tournament – first and foremost, it takes time to get to know each other! From the first to the last game, they were connecting more, flowing better and capitalizing on more opportunities.  It was so great to see players use names out there, cheer for each other and begin the lifelong bonds that are a signature of the REVlax experience.

Not to mention, as a third grade team in a 3/4 Division – most of the teams that we played had older players in the mix, which while challenging, is the best way to learn!  Our goal at REVlax is to teach our teams how to play THEIR GAME against any opponent, no matter the score or the conditions.  Once that level of consistency is achieved, we double down on all the technical components that make our teams national competitors – and they cannot be stopped!

In reflecting on this first experience, we will never ever forget the smiles, energy and excitement that the 2035s brought to the table.  We look forward to watching these players become a true unit, and have a blast doing so, together.

🦈 Shark Award 🦈
Lillian Ercoli: Talk about HUSTLE. Lillian, you never, ever stopped running and we are SO excited for you. Way to come out strong and leave everything out there on the field.   Keep up your fire and just watch what happens – a future rockstar is in the making!

Gray Ballou: Gray, we absolutely loved seeing you hit your stride in the third game of the day. You were working SO HARD in the mid-field and this is what it is all about.  We cannot wait to see you continue to have standout moments, and are so stoked that you found REVlax.  You are SO AWESOME!

CHILL Updated

The CHILL
When: October 20, 2025
Where: Devens, MA

Event Recap
A HUGE DAY OF GROWTH FOR THE 2035s!

The 2035 team put together an impressive performance at the CHILL, showing just how much progress can be made in a very short amount of time.

After competing in their first event just five days earlier, the improvement from this group was impossible to miss. The 2035s battled hard in their first two games, competing play-for-play and refusing to back down. That determination set the stage for an edge-of-your-seat final matchup, where they secured an exciting one-goal victory to cap off the day.

What stood out most was how much the players began to connect and trust one another on the field. We saw cleaner ball movement, stronger decision-making, and the early execution of higher-level concepts—clear signs of a team starting to come together.

The growth shown in such a short window is incredibly exciting, and we couldn’t be more pumped to see how much this group continues to develop throughout the winter and spring. The future for this 2035 team is bright!

HOLIDAY CLINIC
When: December 7, 2025
Where: Taunton, MA

Holiday Clinic is one of our favorite events of the year, and for good reason. It marks the final event of the year for REV as one complete group—a chance to spend time together, enjoy each other’s company, and squeeze in our last lacrosse of 2025. This year was extra special, as we welcomed one of the largest Holiday Clinic turnouts ever, with over 230 players in attendance. The holiday spirit was on full display in Taunton, with players and coaches rocking their favorite festive outfits throughout the day.

Of course, there was plenty of lacrosse to go around. After warming up, players jumped right into station work focused heavily on live-play concepts. Our DEVO groups had a blast with fast-paced ground ball drills, stick work, and 1v1s, while our high school players competed in 1v1s of their own and high-tempo man-up/man-down drills that provided nonstop reps and great game-like experience.

Midday, we hit pause on lacrosse for one of the most anticipated parts of Holiday Clinic—our annual all-club fun! Players were split into 21 mixed-age, holiday-themed teams and competed for candy prizes in three relay races.

The first challenge was the stick-bridge relay, where teams raced to collect their sticks, engineer the strongest bridge, and have all teammates crawl underneath. Creativity and problem-solving were on full display—REV clearly has some future engineers in the making! Team Dreidel Dazzlers, led by Claudia Bonaventura, took the win with the fastest and most effective design.

Next up was the trivia relay, mixing REV knowledge with New England sports mascots and state capitals. (Shoutout to Lucky the Leprechaun for giving a few teams trouble—REVnation is officially encouraged to watch more Celtics games in 2026.) Team Jingle Ballers, led by Keira O’Connell and Meg Reddy, powered through all 10 questions and secured the win.

The final relay brought out everyone’s competitive spirit with our holiday twist on a classic—Snowman, Christmas Tree, Reindeer. Teams raced around snowmen and trees and crawled under reindeer to get everyone back to the start line. Team Silent Knights, led by Erin Canning, flew through the course to earn the final prize—and some serious bragging rights. For many players, the relay races were a highlight of the day, combining competition, fun, and the chance to connect with teammates across the club.

We wrapped up our lacrosse intermission with our coveted Holiday Clinic group photo—the biggest in years—featuring smiling faces, incredible holiday outfits, and Meg Reddy’s annual lightning-fast photobomb appearance.

The day finished strong with plenty of live play. High school teams competed across grade levels, producing fast, competitive, and exciting games. At the DEVO level, live play filled the fields, with players proudly keeping their holiday gear on. Our youngest players mixed fun games with small-sided action, while older DEVO groups logged a ton of 7v7 reps, focusing on pace and decision-making. The energy across the facility was unreal.

We closed the day together as a club, announcing the winner of the Holiday Costume Contest—Gray Ballou (2035)—who took home a brand-new stick! Once again, Holiday Clinic was an unforgettable event and a special opportunity for REVnation to come together under one roof. Our staff loves ending the year this way, surrounded by the energy, enthusiasm, and passion our players bring every time they step on the field.

Happy Holidays, REVnation—bring that same energy, fun, and hard work into 2026! 🎄🥍
