PRACTICE #1

When: September 14, 2025
Where: Boston, MA

General Practice Summary
The fall season has OFFICIALLY begun!

What a perfect day to be back on the fields with REVlax Nation!  Boston showed off its perfect September weather, and you all matched it with incredible energy.

This was a team practice, which brings together the whole club in one location. It is such a special opportunity to come together to grow and connect.  Families came from FIVE states – and we are so grateful to our community for making it happen!

It was special to see so many returners, who jumped back in like no time had passed in August!  And talk about EXCITEMENT to see all of our new families in one place. We are so excited about the families who have joined our community for REV23 – talk about talent, personality and energy!  Some have transitioned from other programs to experience the magic of REVlax, while others are new to the club scene -  and we cannot wait to see them shine!

The practice plan was packed with live-play action as we worked through final roster evaluations for the fall season.  Players brought intensity, teamwork, and focus—everything we love to see on the field. The best part? Everyone left having met someone new.

We also had a great time connecting with our 2028–2037 families during their Fall Kickoff meetings.  Thank you to all the families for fitting the meeting into your schedule!

These sessions were a special opportunity for players and parents to hear directly from our staff about the season ahead—our goals, expectations, and vision for the program. Your enthusiasm, engagement, and commitment truly set the tone for what’s shaping up to be an incredible year with REV Nation.

Here’s to a fantastic start to the 23rd year of REVlax—let’s make this year our best yet!

2028 Practice Recap
WAHOOO! WE ARE BACK!  We cannot tell you how much we miss the 2028s when we are on break – and it felt AMAZING to be back at it with this special class. Both teams really WOWed the REVlax staff with the energy and focus everyone brought.

We kicked things off with shuttles to reset our movement, footwork, and overall pace of play after the break. From there, we jumped into the 3-man weave, pushing the tempo and emphasizing quick passing, clean spacing, and strong communication — all key elements as we build toward more fluid, cohesive team play.

Next up was a fast-paced stickwork circuit, where players focused on reacting quickly and handling the ball cleanly under pressure. This kind of sharp, technical work will continue to be a staple in our practices moving forward.

We then rolled into 7s at four nets, splitting players evenly by position and grad year. This format gave everyone valuable reps in small-sided, high-tempo situations — a great opportunity to make quick reads, move off-ball, and compete with pace and purpose.

To close out the day, we transitioned into full-field gameplay, applying everything we worked on earlier in the session. There were some really strong moments out there, especially in transition, along with areas to tighten up — fitness (always!), communication, spacing, and off-ball awareness on both sides of the field.

All in all, this was a great first step as we kick off the fall season. Players, take a few minutes to reflect on what we focused on and how you approached each drill — the more you understand the why behind every rep, the faster your game will grow. Let’s keep building, 2028s!  This is YOUR year!

PRACTICE #2
When: September 21, 2025
Where: Providence, RI

General Practice Summary
It was another perfect September day for our second Team Practice of the fall!  The weather and vibes were immaculate!

REVlax rotates team practices between our two largest hubs, Boston and Providence, giving players exposure to different environments and allowing all families the opportunity to engage with the program.  As always, we so appreciate everyone’s effort to get to every practice site!

Practice #2 was held at the 9x RI State Championship Field — Moses Brown!  Moses Brown has a long history of top-tier lacrosse players, many of whom have been REVlax alumna, and it’s always incredible to feel that energy of excellence on the field. It sets the tone for our players and inspires them to push themselves to be their best.

The REVdevo practice was packed with energy, while our high school teams came in focused and ready to elevate their game in preparation for the fall season.

Team practices are integral to every group’s cohesion and chemistry, and this week was no exception. With team rosters finalized, players were able to start connecting directly with the teammates they will play with for fall tournaments. At REVlax, consistency and cohesion are the foundation of success, and every team practice fuels this intention.

Even from the first week to the second, the progress for each group was palpable. It was so cool to see each team really work on their connections on the field, resulting in some really impressive standout moments throughout the day!

The energy, teamwork, and focus on the field are exactly what make REVlax so special, and we will never forget this gorgeous afternoon in Rhode Island!

2028Blue Practice Recap
Practice #2 was AWESOME for 28Blue! It was fantastic to see such a high turnout — nearly the entire roster was on the field, creating a productive, competitive, and high-energy environment throughout practice. It is so awesome to see players continue to work on their chemistry and connections!

On the team front, 28Blue is really hitting their stride. We’re excited to see the leaders step up and take ownership this fall, and we want every player to be fully engaged, contribute at a high level, and make an impact on the field. The energy, accountability, and teamwork we saw today are exactly what will drive the team’s success moving forward!

We kicked things off with a sequential passing drill, setting the tone early. The focus was on timing, crisp ball movement, and staying in sync with teammates — simple concepts, but when executed well, they dramatically elevate the speed and flow of play.

After the opener, we moved into four focused stations that hit key areas of our team game. In the Motion station, we worked on creating movement with purpose — using cuts, spacing, and timing to generate better looks and keep the offense dynamic. The Man Up/Man Down segment (True North) challenged guys to communicate clearly and execute in special situations, where small decisions make a big difference. Shooting gave us a chance to lock in on mechanics and shot selection, focusing on reps with intention and precision. The Clears station was high-tempo, putting pressure on both sides to be organized and decisive in transition.

We closed with East-West play on the mini fields, which pushed the pace and brought out the group’s competitive edge. These small-sided games forced fast reads, tight execution, and constant communication under pressure — a perfect way to cap off a high-energy session.

From top to bottom, this practice was one of the strongest for 28Blue!  The buy-in was evident, execution was sharp, and having nearly everyone on the field made a noticeable difference.

Let’s keep building on this momentum and continue raising the bar every time we step out there!

PRACTICE #3

When: September 28, 2025
Where: Boston, MA

General Practice Summary
Two words to define September so far: IDEAL WEATHER!  REVlax thrives in all conditions, but when it’s 60 degrees and sunny, it’s pure perfection — and today was a gorgeous fall day in Boston to close out our fall team practices.

It’s incredible how quickly the past three weeks have flown by and how much improvement we’ve seen across every group. With the majority of the club attending all three sessions, we’ve witnessed a dramatic increase in team chemistry and cohesion.  On top of that, every individual player has made huge strides — dusting off any cobwebs from the off-season and fully stepping back into REVlax mode. The growth in confidence, skill, and focus has been exciting to watch, and it sets the stage for a strong foundation going into tournament season.  A special shout to all the parents who put time in the car to make it happen – we appreciate you SO much!

For the final team practice of the fall, the REVdevo players brought the electric energy that makes the youth players so special. Players were buzzing with excitement, as they prepared for upcoming fall tournaments and full-field live play. The 2033s had their first full-field game experience, supported by the 2032s, in a competitive 12v12 scrimmage — learning spacing, transition responsibilities, and how to read the field in real time. Meanwhile, the 31–34 teams were sharpening their fundamentals and putting their motion offense and man-up/man-down concepts into action in a fast-paced, game-like setting.

When our High School teams hit the field, the focus and intensity immediately ramped up. Each team executed with precision, communicated effectively, and demonstrated the teamwork that’s been building throughout the fall. They really dialed in to each and every drill, setting the tone for the upcoming tournament season.  As a staff, we are so impressed by the progress, energy, and cohesion we’ve seen from every team over the past three weeks.

As we close out fall practices, we couldn’t be more excited to see all of our teams carry this momentum to the game field. Every player has laid a strong foundation, and now it’s time to take all that energy, skill, and teamwork to the next level — and represent REVlax Nation on the tournament circuit!

2028Blue Practice Recap

This marked our third consecutive weekend on the field, and while we started a bit slower than we hoped, it was an important reminder of where we are in the process. We opened with the full-field 3-man weave, which highlighted areas to sharpen — particularly stick skills and conditioning. And that’s okay! At this stage, what matters most is recognizing where we can improve so we can grow stronger with every rep. The focus now is on clean passing, purposeful movement, and smart spacing — fundamentals that will set the foundation for this team’s continued development.

After regrouping, we ran the 3-man weave again East to West, and the difference was noticeable. The players picked up the pace, competed with urgency, and began to play with more confidence and focus. These are the moments where growth really starts to take hold, as effort and mindset meet skill development.

We then rotated through four stations: Shooting, Pie Drill, 1v1s, and Man Up/Man Down. The Shooting station gave players a chance to hone their mechanics and focus on shot placement. The Pie Drill emphasized quick thinking and communication in tight spaces. The 1v1s offered an opportunity to build competitiveness and test individual skills on both sides of the ball. Finally, the Man Up/Man Down work focused on reinforcing our 4-3 sets and building teamwork in these critical situations.

We wrapped with full-field games, and the improvement was clear. Ball movement was cleaner, spacing was sharper, and effort was stronger compared to the start of practice. Every drill, every rep, every play is building confidence, skill, and team chemistry — all essential pieces of growth.

This group has immense potential. They are in the thick of their growth phase, and it’s exciting to see the progress each week — the energy, focus, and willingness to learn are all pointing toward something very special. With continued hard work and dedication, this team is capable of achieving great things. Let’s keep putting in the reps, embracing every opportunity to improve, and building the confidence and skill that will carry us all the way through the season.

Love 2 lax

LOVE TO LAX
When: October 5, 2025
Where: Devens, MA

Love 2 Lax was an incredible showcase of skill, energy, and growth! REVlax brought the fun, intensity, and competition to Devens, with families and players creating an electric atmosphere all day. It was a beautiful fall weekend — a little warm, but the sun was shining, the leaves were turning, and the stage was set for some outstanding lacrosse.

The 30Black team dominated on Saturday, taking home the Championship with precision, teamwork, and relentless energy. On Sunday, the 28Black team brought the same fire, battling through tough competition to earn their Championship title. Both teams showed exactly what REVlax is all about — skill, focus, and heart.

But it wasn’t just the champions who shined. Every team improved tremendously from the start to the finish of the day. The 31Heart team, for example, just missed the championship game!  The progress each team made, the cohesion they built, and the level of play they reached by the end of the day was inspiring. Across the board, players grew in confidence, execution, and teamwork — a clear sign of the efforts applied to our three team practices in September!

What makes REVlax so special isn’t just the championships or the skill level — it’s the comradery, class, and sportsmanship of our players and families. Watching everyone come together, support each other, and celebrate the game is what makes this community truly unique. And a special shout out to all the new players who’s first event was Love 2 Lax!

It was amazing to see so much growth, energy, and excitement from every single team, and we can’t wait to see how far these players will go over the rest of the fall season. If this weekend was any indication, REV23 is off to an incredible start!

2028Blue Recap
For 28Blue, today was all about building the foundation — and that’s exactly what we did.

This was the first time this new group hit the field together this fall, and while the record (1–2) doesn’t capture the full story, the growth we saw absolutely does. From the first whistle to the last, this team was learning, adapting, and finding its rhythm. We threw a lot at the players — new lines, new combinations, even some position changes — and every bit of it was intentional. The goal was to challenge them early, test chemistry, and see how they'd respond under pressure. And they did. They rose to it. They battled. They grew.

Yes, there were moments when we dipped, but that’s part of the process — and it’s exactly what this stage of development is about. Every rep, every mistake, every success is shaping what this team will become.

One of the best moments of the day was seeing the offensive balance start to shine — six goals from five different players in one game! That kind of ball movement and trust is what championship-caliber teams are built on. Defensively, you were tested all day, facing constant pressure and limited rest, and still found ways to dig in and hold your ground. That resilience is going to pay off in a big way as we build momentum this fall!

The turning point came in Game 2 — the energy shifted, adjustments clicked, and belief started to spread through the team. Even in Game 1, after a tough first half, you fought back and refused to fold. That’s the mark of a team with heart and hunger.

This group has something special. You can feel it. The chemistry is starting to take shape, the confidence is building, and the potential is sky high. The foundation has been set — now it’s time to keep stacking the bricks.

Rock Stars of the Day

HOLIDAY CLINIC
When: December 7, 2025
Where: Taunton, MA

Holiday Clinic is one of our favorite events of the year, and for good reason. It marks the final event of the year for REV as one complete group—a chance to spend time together, enjoy each other’s company, and squeeze in our last lacrosse of 2025. This year was extra special, as we welcomed one of the largest Holiday Clinic turnouts ever, with over 230 players in attendance. The holiday spirit was on full display in Taunton, with players and coaches rocking their favorite festive outfits throughout the day.

Of course, there was plenty of lacrosse to go around. After warming up, players jumped right into station work focused heavily on live-play concepts. Our DEVO groups had a blast with fast-paced ground ball drills, stick work, and 1v1s, while our high school players competed in 1v1s of their own and high-tempo man-up/man-down drills that provided nonstop reps and great game-like experience.

Midday, we hit pause on lacrosse for one of the most anticipated parts of Holiday Clinic—our annual all-club fun! Players were split into 21 mixed-age, holiday-themed teams and competed for candy prizes in three relay races.

The first challenge was the stick-bridge relay, where teams raced to collect their sticks, engineer the strongest bridge, and have all teammates crawl underneath. Creativity and problem-solving were on full display—REV clearly has some future engineers in the making! Team Dreidel Dazzlers, led by Claudia Bonaventura, took the win with the fastest and most effective design.

Next up was the trivia relay, mixing REV knowledge with New England sports mascots and state capitals. (Shoutout to Lucky the Leprechaun for giving a few teams trouble—REVnation is officially encouraged to watch more Celtics games in 2026.) Team Jingle Ballers, led by Keira O’Connell and Meg Reddy, powered through all 10 questions and secured the win.

The final relay brought out everyone’s competitive spirit with our holiday twist on a classic—Snowman, Christmas Tree, Reindeer. Teams raced around snowmen and trees and crawled under reindeer to get everyone back to the start line. Team Silent Knights, led by Erin Canning, flew through the course to earn the final prize—and some serious bragging rights. For many players, the relay races were a highlight of the day, combining competition, fun, and the chance to connect with teammates across the club.

We wrapped up our lacrosse intermission with our coveted Holiday Clinic group photo—the biggest in years—featuring smiling faces, incredible holiday outfits, and Meg Reddy’s annual lightning-fast photobomb appearance.

The day finished strong with plenty of live play. High school teams competed across grade levels, producing fast, competitive, and exciting games. At the DEVO level, live play filled the fields, with players proudly keeping their holiday gear on. Our youngest players mixed fun games with small-sided action, while older DEVO groups logged a ton of 7v7 reps, focusing on pace and decision-making. The energy across the facility was unreal.

We closed the day together as a club, announcing the winner of the Holiday Costume Contest—Gray Ballou (2035)—who took home a brand-new stick! Once again, Holiday Clinic was an unforgettable event and a special opportunity for REVnation to come together under one roof. Our staff loves ending the year this way, surrounded by the energy, enthusiasm, and passion our players bring every time they step on the field.

Happy Holidays, REVnation—bring that same energy, fun, and hard work into 2026! 🎄🥍
