2026 Blue - Rev22 fall event recaps
When: October 20, 2024
Where: Devens, MA
Event Summary
The girls’ lacrosse club season kicked off with New England’s top fall championship tournament, The New England Chill.
What a weekend to kick off REV22, the 22nd year of Revolution Lacrosse, at REVlax’s own event, The New England Chill. The weather was perfect, the sun was out, foliage was at peak, the DJ tent was bumping, and the dance offs were legit!
Traditionally, The New England Chill is REVlax’s 2nd tournament of the fall, but with the Westside Tournament canceling this year, this was opening weekend! Nine REVlax teams had winning records with three teams going undefeated and TWO teams winning the Championships!
Congratulations to the REV25 Team for winning the Championship and putting in a whooping 55 goals while only giving up nine goals on the day!
Congratulations also to the REV26 Black team for winning their Championship after battling a very strong Yellow Jackets team!
Though both undefeated, 27Black and 31Heart each missed the playoffs to the other undefeated team in their respective pools seeing they had one more allowed goal! What are the odds!?!
Something fun that the REVlax players loved was that after each game, a REVlaxer was awarded the Game Pumpkin for outstanding play by the team and coaching staff. And at the end of each day, the All-Tournament Pumpkin was awarded!
Team Summary
Record: 2-1
What a great start to the season! REV 26Blue started off the day strong and was up at their first half. In the second half, the team gave up too many draws and free positions that allowed the lead to escape. After the game, we talked about putting a full game together, cleaning up fouls, and going all out. The players gathered, regrouped and dominated the rest of the day, winning the remaining games with a record of 12-5 and 12-1 respectfully.
Shout out Sophie Broussard, Addie Hajj, and Sophia Williams for playing in their first REVlax tournament!
Shout Outs/Game Pumpkin Winners
#55 Alli Pearlman - Goalie
Alli had a great day in net with big saves and kept her goals allowed numbers impressively low. Alli, you are a strong presence in the cage and made great decisions with your clearing game today! Your improvement has been great to witness. Keep up the awesome work!
#40 Sophia Williams - Attack
This was Sophia’s first tournament with REVlax and she played lights out! Sophia, you hustled all over the field and did whatever it took to get the ball back for your team. You attacked the net hard and distributed the ball well! We are so excited for your future of Sophia! Keep on grinding and we can’t wait to see what you do!
#88 Eleanor Penbrien- Defense
Years ago, Eleanor’s first tournament with us at REVlax was at this very tournament, The New England Chill! She was a quiet 8th grader, trying to figure out her position and started the process of learning how to grind and stay in the fight. Today, on the same fields, we witnessed the outcome of effort, commitment a passion. Now, as a true defender that brings havoc to dodgers, Eleanor played fantastic today. Eleanor, you are communicating, showing the love and the effort on the REVlax Wall Ball Program is showing as you transition the ball with ease. It has been marvelous being part of your development journey Eleanor!
