PRACTICE #1

When: September 14, 2025
Where: Boston, MA

General Practice Summary
The fall season has OFFICIALLY begun!

What a perfect day to be back on the fields with REVlax Nation!  Boston showed off its perfect September weather, and you all matched it with incredible energy.

This was a team practice, which brings together the whole club in one location. It is such a special opportunity to come together to grow and connect.  Families came from FIVE states – and we are so grateful to our community for making it happen!

It was special to see so many returners, who jumped back in like no time had passed in August!  And talk about EXCITEMENT to see all of our new families in one place. We are so excited about the families who have joined our community for REV23 – talk about talent, personality and energy!  Some have transitioned from other programs to experience the magic of REVlax, while others are new to the club scene -  and we cannot wait to see them shine!

The practice plan was packed with live-play action as we worked through final roster evaluations for the fall season.  Players brought intensity, teamwork, and focus—everything we love to see on the field. The best part? Everyone left having met someone new.

We also had a great time connecting with our 2028–2037 families during their Fall Kickoff meetings.  Thank you to all the families for fitting the meeting into your schedule!

These sessions were a special opportunity for players and parents to hear directly from our staff about the season ahead—our goals, expectations, and vision for the program. Your enthusiasm, engagement, and commitment truly set the tone for what’s shaping up to be an incredible year with REV Nation.

Here’s to a fantastic start to the 23rd year of REVlax—let’s make this year our best yet!

2027 Practice Recap
It was SO amazing seeing the 2027 back in action!!!  We missed everyone!!!

This was our first practice since July and we were itching to get back out there with this special class that is jam packed with talent, personality and such great people.  It was awesome to see both teams back on the field with great enthusiasm, focus, and teamwork – as JUNIORS!  They carried a mature energy that only upperclassmen can and we are stoked to have them lead REVlax Nation this year!

We kicked things off with shuttles to get our legs moving and reset our conditioning and footwork. From there, we jumped into full-speed 3-man weave, emphasizing passing under pressure, spacing, and clear communication — all core fundamentals we’ll continue to build on this fall.

Next came a quick stickwork segment focused on sharp hands, fast reactions, and keeping stick skills tight after the summer break. We then transitioned into 7s at four nets, splitting players evenly by position and grad year. This setup challenged everyone to make quick reads, move off-ball, and play with tempo — essential for developing strong game sense.

We closed out with full-field play, where we worked on transition, riding and clearing, and putting the day’s concepts into action. There were plenty of great moments and highlights, along with a few areas to refine — especially conditioning, spacing, and maintaining structure across the field.

Let’s carry this energy forward and keep raising the bar every week!

PRACTICE #2

When: September 21, 2025
Where: Providence, RI

General Practice Summary
It was another perfect September day for our second Team Practice of the fall!  The weather and vibes were immaculate!

REVlax rotates team practices between our two largest hubs, Boston and Providence, giving players exposure to different environments and allowing all families the opportunity to engage with the program.  As always, we so appreciate everyone’s effort to get to every practice site!

Practice #2 was held at the 9x RI State Championship Field — Moses Brown!  Moses Brown has a long history of top-tier lacrosse players, many of whom have been REVlax alumna, and it’s always incredible to feel that energy of excellence on the field. It sets the tone for our players and inspires them to push themselves to be their best.

The REVdevo practice was packed with energy, while our high school teams came in focused and ready to elevate their game in preparation for the fall season.

Team practices are integral to every group’s cohesion and chemistry, and this week was no exception. With team rosters finalized, players were able to start connecting directly with the teammates they will play with for fall tournaments. At REVlax, consistency and cohesion are the foundation of success, and every team practice fuels this intention.

Even from the first week to the second, the progress for each group was palpable. It was so cool to see each team really work on their connections on the field, resulting in some really impressive standout moments throughout the day!

The energy, teamwork, and focus on the field are exactly what make REVlax so special, and we will never forget this gorgeous afternoon in Rhode Island!

2027Black Practice Recap
What an awesome, intimate practice!  September is always busy for our juniors, as they are doing it all!  Between their college clinics, showcases and fall high school sports, we work together to balance everything.  The timing of this practice overlapped for many players – and as such, it was a small group. Those who attended, rocked it and got SO much coaching!

We opened practice with a sequential passing drill, which focused on timing, feeding under pressure, and being ready to support your teammates. It’s a simple concept, but the execution demands focus and connection — and the group responded well. The pace picked up as the drill went on, and you could see the chemistry starting to come together.

After that, we broke into four different stations that each targeted a key area of play. At the motion station, we worked on off-ball movement and proper spacing, emphasizing the importance of staying active and creating opportunities for your teammates. The Man Up/Man Down station — which we call True North — focused on situational awareness and smart decision-making, requiring both sides of the ball to communicate and adjust in real time. At the Shooting station, players had the chance to refine their form and focus on shooting with purpose — not just power, but placement and timing. The Clears station emphasized quick transitions, proper outlet execution, and staying organized through the ride — an area we’ll continue to build on as we progress through the fall.

We wrapped up the day with East-West play on mini fields, which brought a fast, competitive edge to the end of the session. These small-sided games are all about speed, decision-making, and tight-space execution, and they gave us a great look at who’s staying sharp and competing all the way through.

Overall, it was a productive day with strong energy and buy-in from the players. We’re starting to see guys find their rhythm, raise their level, and commit to doing the little things right. Great work across the board — let’s keep it going.

PRACTICE #3
When: September 28, 2025
Where: Boston, MA

General Practice Summary
Two words to define September so far: IDEAL WEATHER!  REVlax thrives in all conditions, but when it’s 60 degrees and sunny, it’s pure perfection — and today was a gorgeous fall day in Boston to close out our fall team practices.

It’s incredible how quickly the past three weeks have flown by and how much improvement we’ve seen across every group. With the majority of the club attending all three sessions, we’ve witnessed a dramatic increase in team chemistry and cohesion.  On top of that, every individual player has made huge strides — dusting off any cobwebs from the off-season and fully stepping back into REVlax mode. The growth in confidence, skill, and focus has been exciting to watch, and it sets the stage for a strong foundation going into tournament season.  A special shout to all the parents who put time in the car to make it happen – we appreciate you SO much!

For the final team practice of the fall, the REVdevo players brought the electric energy that makes the youth players so special. Players were buzzing with excitement, as they prepared for upcoming fall tournaments and full-field live play. The 2033s had their first full-field game experience, supported by the 2032s, in a competitive 12v12 scrimmage — learning spacing, transition responsibilities, and how to read the field in real time. Meanwhile, the 31–34 teams were sharpening their fundamentals and putting their motion offense and man-up/man-down concepts into action in a fast-paced, game-like setting.

When our High School teams hit the field, the focus and intensity immediately ramped up. Each team executed with precision, communicated effectively, and demonstrated the teamwork that’s been building throughout the fall. They really dialed in to each and every drill, setting the tone for the upcoming tournament season.  As a staff, we are so impressed by the progress, energy, and cohesion we’ve seen from every team over the past three weeks.

As we close out fall practices, we couldn’t be more excited to see all of our teams carry this momentum to the game field. Every player has laid a strong foundation, and now it’s time to take all that energy, skill, and teamwork to the next level — and represent REVlax Nation on the tournament circuit!

2027Black Practice Recap
This was our third weekend in a row on the field, which is a gift as is enough time for each group to face challenges, and bring each other up!  From the first drill of this practice (full-field 3-man weave), the intensity seemed a little off and the group was moving a little slower than they are capable of.  These moments are integral to the development of every athlete – and we work through them together to help our players reset!

We shifted the drill to an east-west format, giving players the opportunity to focus on cleaner passing, better spacing, and simply running with purpose. After reviewing what players needed to change, the tempo picked up and players started to execute with more urgency.  This responsiveness is the expectation at REVlax and is why our players are so strong – going through the motion is not an option.  We were proud that the team came together to adjust, and set themselves up to win the rest of the practice!

From there, we broke into four stations: Shooting, the Pie Drill, 1v1s, and Man Up/Man Down. In the Shooting station, we continued to work on being more efficient with our mechanics and shot placement. The Pie Drill was all about small-area decision-making and communication under pressure. 1v1s gave players a chance to battle on both sides of the ball — and exposed who’s ready to compete and who’s still catching up. This allowed us to personally touch base with the players who needed to up their game, and it is this personal attention that makes REVlax so special!  In the Man Up/Man Down station, we focused on our 4-3 set, building to understand how to implement it in games and rep it properly!

We wrapped with full-field gameplay, and it was a 180 from where the practice started— players exhibited better ball movement, more communication, and improved effort in transition.  We loved seeing them execute at their highest level!

Takeaway from today’s practice: Waiting for the coaches to wake us up is not an option. The energy, urgency, and focus need to be there from the very first whistle. When every player shows up ready to compete, committed to fitness, and determined to execute at a high level, that’s when the team reaches its full potential.

Today showed that we’re capable of that standard — now it’s about carrying that mindset into every moment, every drill, and every game. If we bring that intensity consistently, there’s no limit to what we can accomplish together. Let’s take this momentum forward and make every second on the field count!

NORTHEAST SHOWCASE
When
: November 9, 2025
Where: Albany, NY

What a weekend for our 2027 Black team! Let’s first talk about the main character of the day – the conditions. As a result of the wind and rain, the fields were literally mud-pits. Despite the conditions, 27Black showed grit and determination, finishing the weekend with a 2-1 record.

After an opening game where we worked to adjust to the challenging field conditions, the team regrouped and came out strong for Game #2, earning two solid wins to close out the day. Once they were playing like ourselves, the team controlled the draw, maintained strong offensive possession, and showed continued growth across the board, even when we were purposely stalling to avoid mud slip and slides!

We’re excited about the progress being made, especially with our man-up set, 43, which is continuing to develop. Overall, the team did a great job executing, adapting, and playing together through challenging conditions. The resilience and teamwork shown this weekend are exactly what define this special group!

MID-ATLANTIC
When
: November 15 - Sunday, November 16, 2025
Where: Baltimore Area, MD

While this weekend wasn’t our strongest overall result on paper, 27 Black gained a great deal from the experience. Finishing 1–3 doesn’t tell the full story. Competing in extreme cold conditions, our players showed toughness, resilience, and a willingness to battle through every challenge. The effort, energy, and competitive fight were consistently present, even when the conditions made execution difficult.

Most importantly, this tournament provided valuable reps and clear takeaways that will help us continue to improve. We identified areas to sharpen, moments to learn from, and strengths we can continue to build on as a group. Every game and every rep added to our growth and development.

We’ll take these lessons, turn the page, and head into next weekend with confidence as we prepare for a completely different test in the Florida heat. With renewed focus, cleaner execution, and the same competitive spirit, 27 Black will be ready to respond and keep moving forward.

PRESIDENT'S CUP
When
: Friday, November 21 - Sunday, November 23, 2025
Where: Florida

President’s Cup was a statement weekend for the 27Black team! They finished the weekend with a winning, 3-0-1 record - proving exactly what this group is capable of. From the first game under the lights on Friday, the team came out firing, setting the tone with speed, confidence, and grit.

Saturday brought the heat—literally with the weather and the game itself! This did not stop this all-star squad. They stayed in the fight, pushed through every challenge, and found ways to win even when they were tired or the games got tough. By Sunday morning, facing a strong Maryland team, they showed the same character we’ve seen all fall: they never backed down, never let up, and refused to give in, battling through every possession to close out a successful weekend.

And of course, the infamous bet made by Recruiting Director, Reddy needs to be mentioned!  At the start of the weekend, Reddy bet the team that if they went undefeated, she would buy a hilarious t-shirt that was spotted in vendor village and wear it proudly.  Well, the players won that bet and Reddy rocked the shirt just like she promised!

Going into the winter, the message for 27Black is clear and simple: training together in Taunton on Sundays is IMPERATIVE. In order to keep building on this momentum, sharpening  chemistry, and preparing to take another step forward as upperclassmen this spring, every single player needs to be committed and locked in. President’s Cup gave this team the opportunity to show what they are capable of, and it was SO FUN!  Now is the time to double down and keep climbing

HOLIDAY CLINIC
When: December 7, 2025
Where: Taunton, MA

Holiday Clinic is one of our favorite events of the year, and for good reason. It marks the final event of the year for REV as one complete group—a chance to spend time together, enjoy each other’s company, and squeeze in our last lacrosse of 2025. This year was extra special, as we welcomed one of the largest Holiday Clinic turnouts ever, with over 230 players in attendance. The holiday spirit was on full display in Taunton, with players and coaches rocking their favorite festive outfits throughout the day.

Of course, there was plenty of lacrosse to go around. After warming up, players jumped right into station work focused heavily on live-play concepts. Our DEVO groups had a blast with fast-paced ground ball drills, stick work, and 1v1s, while our high school players competed in 1v1s of their own and high-tempo man-up/man-down drills that provided nonstop reps and great game-like experience.

Midday, we hit pause on lacrosse for one of the most anticipated parts of Holiday Clinic—our annual all-club fun! Players were split into 21 mixed-age, holiday-themed teams and competed for candy prizes in three relay races.

The first challenge was the stick-bridge relay, where teams raced to collect their sticks, engineer the strongest bridge, and have all teammates crawl underneath. Creativity and problem-solving were on full display—REV clearly has some future engineers in the making! Team Dreidel Dazzlers, led by Claudia Bonaventura, took the win with the fastest and most effective design.

Next up was the trivia relay, mixing REV knowledge with New England sports mascots and state capitals. (Shoutout to Lucky the Leprechaun for giving a few teams trouble—REVnation is officially encouraged to watch more Celtics games in 2026.) Team Jingle Ballers, led by Keira O’Connell and Meg Reddy, powered through all 10 questions and secured the win.

The final relay brought out everyone’s competitive spirit with our holiday twist on a classic—Snowman, Christmas Tree, Reindeer. Teams raced around snowmen and trees and crawled under reindeer to get everyone back to the start line. Team Silent Knights, led by Erin Canning, flew through the course to earn the final prize—and some serious bragging rights. For many players, the relay races were a highlight of the day, combining competition, fun, and the chance to connect with teammates across the club.

We wrapped up our lacrosse intermission with our coveted Holiday Clinic group photo—the biggest in years—featuring smiling faces, incredible holiday outfits, and Meg Reddy’s annual lightning-fast photobomb appearance.

The day finished strong with plenty of live play. High school teams competed across grade levels, producing fast, competitive, and exciting games. At the DEVO level, live play filled the fields, with players proudly keeping their holiday gear on. Our youngest players mixed fun games with small-sided action, while older DEVO groups logged a ton of 7v7 reps, focusing on pace and decision-making. The energy across the facility was unreal.

We closed the day together as a club, announcing the winner of the Holiday Costume Contest—Gray Ballou (2035)—who took home a brand-new stick! Once again, Holiday Clinic was an unforgettable event and a special opportunity for REVnation to come together under one roof. Our staff loves ending the year this way, surrounded by the energy, enthusiasm, and passion our players bring every time they step on the field.

Happy Holidays, REVnation—bring that same energy, fun, and hard work into 2026! 🎄🥍
