Event Summary
The girls’ lacrosse club season kicked off with New England’s top fall championship tournament, The New England Chill.

What a weekend to kick off REV22, the 22nd year of Revolution Lacrosse, at REVlax’s own event, The New England Chill.  The weather was perfect, the sun was out, foliage was at peak, the DJ tent was bumping, and the dance offs were legit!

Traditionally, The New England Chill is REVlax’s 2nd tournament of the fall, but with the Westside Tournament canceling this year, this was opening weekend!   Nine REVlax teams had winning records with three teams going undefeated and TWO teams winning the Championships!

Congratulations to the REV25 Team for winning the Championship and putting in a whooping 55 goals while only giving up nine goals on the day!

Congratulations also to the REV26 Black team for winning their Championship after battling a very strong Yellow Jackets team!
Though both undefeated, 27Black and 31Heart each missed the playoffs to the other undefeated team in their respective pools seeing they had one more allowed goal! What are the odds!?!
Something fun that the REVlax players loved was that after each game, a REVlaxer  was awarded the Game Pumpkin for outstanding play by the team and coaching staff.  And at the end of each day, the All-Tournament Pumpkin was awarded!

Team Summary
Record: 3-0
This team came ready to play!  27Black came out firing and playing our run and gun offense.  They came out so hard in the first half of the first game that we used this game to work their various sets and give other players reps at center and on the draw circle. During the next two games, 27Black continued such focus and development.  Today, they continued the development of their run and gun fast break offense to our slow it down and settle offense, REVlax’s nationally known re-defend all the while furthering the various attacking and defending relationships.   It has been so fun to watch this team really start to blossom.  It has been a two-year development process, and we are so excited for what is to come.

Shout Outs/Pumpkin Winners
#11 Lauren Sabo – Middie/Attack
Sabo is becoming the real deal.  She has the speed to run midfield and has really improved her defensive skills.  She is able to stay in front of her defender by keeping her hips square and has been keeping her stick vertical, so she doesn’t put her attacker on the 8.  Sabo is the complete threat on the attacking side of the ball and had a RIDICULOUS behind the back goal today!!!!   Props to you for a day well played Sabo!

#17 Maeve Monahan – Defender
This player does it all and plays a straight up defensive style to such a point that her attacker does not want to drive.  Monahan very rarely gets burned because she doesn’t open up her hips and has an unbelievable clearing game with speed, vision and a great stick.  And ready for the kicker, she can also play attack!  At REVlax, it’s the first seven players over who play offense.  This is why all defenders partake in our attacking and shooting stations.  (The inverse is true on the other side of the ball).  Maeve, you did such a great job Maeve!

#1 Alex Felt – Defender
Talk about a player who is developing quickly.  Felt joined us just about a year ago and played middie on our awesome 27Blue team. Her willingness to play this position increased her speed and lacrosse IQ understanding.  This fall, Felt was placed on the 27Black defensive unit and has been dominating ever since.  A true breakdown 1v1 defender with awesome size, speed and toughness, Felt had the best game of her REVlax career at The CHILL!   Keep up the amazing work Felt!

All -Tournament Pumpkin
#18 Sammi White - Goalie
The veteran of all veterans, Sammi White had a day today and rightfully took home the All-Tournament Pumpkin!  Sammi was on the REVlax sidelines before she was even a laxer as her two older sisters played with us who are now representing at Merrimack and Assumption respectively.  Being a goalie is TOUGH. And being a REVlax goalie is SO difficult because we expect our goalies to help our teams stay in the fight.

After letting in a few goals that normally White would save, we called her over while the draw was being set.  As we spoke, White maintained her pose and responded to the comments being shared with conviction and agreement.  This alone would make most non REVlax goalies faulter, but not White.  She went back out there, dialed in on watching the ball and stepped HARD, chased missed shots and put her clearing game on point.  White literally turned it on and had, hands down, the best tournament to date!  We couldn’t be prouder.  Talk about stepping up to the face of adversity and not shrinking from the moment but meeting the expectations and taking your game to the next level!  Congratulations to Sammi on earning the All-Tournament Pumpkin!
