Event Summary
The girls’ lacrosse club season kicked off with New England’s top fall championship tournament, The New England Chill.

What a weekend to kick off REV22, the 22nd year of Revolution Lacrosse, at REVlax’s own event, The New England Chill.  The weather was perfect, the sun was out, foliage was at peak, the DJ tent was bumping, and the dance offs were legit!

Traditionally, The New England Chill is REVlax’s 2nd tournament of the fall, but with the Westside Tournament canceling this year, this was opening weekend!   Nine REVlax teams had winning records with three teams going undefeated and TWO teams winning the Championships!

Congratulations to the REV25 Team for winning the Championship and putting in a whooping 55 goals while only giving up nine goals on the day!

Congratulations also to the REV26 Black team for winning their Championship after battling a very strong Yellow Jackets team!
Though both undefeated, 27Black and 31Heart each missed the playoffs to the other undefeated team in their respective pools seeing they had one more allowed goal! What are the odds!?!
Something fun that the REVlax players loved was that after each game, a REVlaxer  was awarded the Game Pumpkin for outstanding play by the team and coaching staff.  And at the end of each day, the All-Tournament Pumpkin was awarded!

Team Summary
Record: 3-0-1 Record & Won The New England CHILL Championship

This weekend was all about continuing our strong culture of accountability and improvement.  By focusing on individual strengths while encouraging open communication, the players continued their skill development and furthered their strong team dynamic where everyone learns and encourages each other. Taking home the championship reflects the consistent improvement this team is making both technically and tactically and with their mental game of staying in the fight. This was an awesome way to start their junior fall!

#32 Cali Tangney - Defense
This was Cali’s first tournament with REVlax, but you would never be able to tell by how she performed. There was no sense of nerves as she stood out the moment she stepped on the field with impactful interceptions, strong defensive communication, while also hedging and being there for “help”.  Cali was a player we couldn't take off the field!  What an awesome start to what will be a wonderful journey!  We are so excited to have you with us Cali!

#43 Addie Bennett - Defense
From ground balls, winning draws to even transitioning the ball with pose, Addie was all over the field today!  You were constant all day on the defense, was an option on the clear and you were a threat EVERY time you touched the ball! Keep this up, as your Fall Season will be one for the record books!
