Event Recap
This past weekend marked the final CHILL tournament ever for the 26Black team — and what a way to close this chapter!  From the first whistle to the last, this group left everything on the field, finishing 3–1 and making it all the way to the championship game against a talented New York team. While the outcome of the championship game was not what we had hoped for, the effort, heart, and determination these players displayed was nothing short of inspiring.

This team has been defined by talent, grit, and a hard-working mindset. What has always made 26Black special isn’t just the talent, though there’s plenty of that, it’s the identity of this team. This is a group built on grit, character, and a relentless work ethic. They show up, push each other, and compete with a fire that is rare. They don’t just play the game; they elevate it as a unit. Their awesomeness was on full display this weekend. Every game was a showcase of what makes 26Black special: resilience, intensity, and unwavering commitment to each other as teammates.

What made this tournament truly unforgettable is knowing that it was the last time this incredible group would compete together at CHILL. Watching these players grow over the years — on the field, in the classroom, and as teammates has been nothing short of a privilege. The memories, the camaraderie, and the way this team represented 26Black will last forever.
26Black players, thank you for the moments, the energy, and the legacy you’ve created. You leave it all on the field, and you leave a mark that won’t be forgotten.  Parents, your dedication is something special.  This team would not be the same without each and every one of you.
